Dad has been home since Saturday afternoon, and mom and dad are both adjusting to the changes since his stroke. They are having a bit of a struggle getting into a new routine, but seem to be doing ok. Dad has trouble sleeping through the night, and his requests for help are reducing the quality of mom's sleep. They do seem to be making progress though.
If any family members would like to visit, please call mom first. She thinks the time before lunch is probably best, so I would recommend you plan any visits between 10 and 12. Definitely call first because a number of therapists and other care providers are at the house from time to time.
They appreciate all the cards you have sent, and the prayers you have offered.
