A good portion of San Diego county is currently on fire. At this point, we are fine, as is Dad. Right now, neither of us are in the path of the fires, but the fires are jumping all over the place. They've even issued voluntary evacuation notices for Del Mar and Solana Beach, right on the coast! So far 250,000 people are under mandatory evacuation orders. A lot of them are at Qualcomm stadium, where the Chargers play. Most of the fires started in our east county, where the winds are the strongest. The winds blow the fires toward the coast. There are Santa Ana winds blowing from the east at 40-50 mph. The air assault is finally up and running. The winds had been too strong for them to fly and drop water and fire retardant. Hopefully, this will help. I'll keep you posted.
