I've realized that as the Walker cousins reach new stages in life, there is a bigger need for more frequent communication. What I have decided to do, is try to offer a solution. I've come up with a way for us to have an online bulletin board. This will be a good way for you to either share family information, or to learn something about the concerns of the family. Previously, our family updates have been made by phone and email, but occasionally someone accidentally gets left out of the loop.
OK, I'll bite. Was this for something specific or was it for service in France in WWI?
The Moor families settled near Rushville, Indiana around 1815. The land office opened in 1822 and I was looking for records for properties in the area that had been bought and sold. One piece I could find no records for so I asked. The answer was the land had never been sold following the land grant from President Monroe to Artimis Moor shortly after the land office opened. But I never found the certificate.
