I've realized that as the Walker cousins reach new stages in life, there is a bigger need for more frequent communication. What I have decided to do, is try to offer a solution. I've come up with a way for us to have an online bulletin board. This will be a good way for you to either share family information, or to learn something about the concerns of the family. Previously, our family updates have been made by phone and email, but occasionally someone accidentally gets left out of the loop.

Ben's doing pretty good. He's trying to get into an EMT course at Vol State which is near where Dad lives. The police have been slow to act so I called a friend that is a retired detective and he made some contacts for us and things are moving now anyway. He's been pretty busy with many things and actually made it to work yesterday as a lifeguard at the YMCA. Tuesday, I had taken him to take care of some other business and as we left from Mom's and me to go home and him to work, he had gotten ahead of me in Mom's car (his is still in the shop). There was a hill and lo and behold at the bottom of that hill was Ben in Mom's car in the middle of the road facing the wrong direction. He had been T-boned by somebody trying to cut across traffic on the passenger side. He was fine and after the cop had finished his report, the other driver was in the cop's car in handcuffs waiting on further testing for potential DUI. Ben is fine, he kept smiling through the whole thingh because it was just one more thing, smaller than all the rest actually. He's a pretty good kid and a better man than most his age and much older. He's just having a tough run. Thanks for asking, how's everything with you? How's Judy? And the rest of the family? We've all been very busy here, I've been working and pulling some extra military days and getting things done before this deployment plus school has started for my wife's kids. There's a lot going on around here but it's all good.
