Campout Update

We are one week away from the campout! For those who don't remember, this event was started by cousin John Walker at Twin Mills campground in Indiana. He invited Robin & I up to camp, and then Dave from Van Wert showed up, and then his sisters, and then . . . well the rest is history. The next spring John and I stayed up until the wee hours discussing how neat it would be to do it again and we puzzled where to hold it. We described our ideal place and one of us realized that our description was very close to what our property was. You know the line: if you plan it, they will come.

Well, it is about 1 week away and we are getting the place ready for the crowd. We will miss John, but we will not forget him. I've checked the 10 day forecast and the temp. for next Fri, Sat, and Sun. are expected to be 75, 76 & 82 with a dew point of 52 and no rain. I hope it holds as that would be beautiful!! Remember, if you will be here on Friday night, we will feed you that night. I don't want people to have to make the long drive and also figure out where to eat. For those who haven't heard, Chuck & Shirley are expecting to be here from Florida on Saturday night. No, I don't really know who all is coming but that is not so important as welcoming all who do come. Several will not be able to make it this year but we will remember them.

Oh, a little story about John's visit to our place his first time. I told him there was a fence in front of our place, but he ended up at the neighbors' place and put a note on their garage. I told him we didn't see a note and then realized he had been to the neighbors'. He said he went to the place with the fence. I explained that when I said fence, I meant FENCE not fence. We will see you all next week!!!
