The Dr. just came out of surgery and let us know that the operation itself went well. However, he was unable to remove the tumor and the initial Pathology results could not tell him what type of tumor it is.
It may be 2-3 days before Pathology will have any idea as to what type of cancer she has. There is very little known at this time as to what type of treatment will be needed. The Dr. was doubtful that the surgery improved anything for Mom. She will probably be here for a while.
Right now I think we are all trying to absorb the news. We wish we could give you all answers and tell you Mom is on the road of treatment and recovery.
