Hellooooo Walkerville!!!
I'm posting while in sunny California. I arrived last Tuesday (the 3rd) to accompany Mary "the snowbird" back home. So far, I've been treated like I'm family. Well, ok, so technically I AM family....but still......it's been great!
Tuesday we stopped on the way back from the San Fran airport and saw Jessica's apartment and met her friends. Wed. we shopped, Thursday we shopped, and...well....Friday we shopped....
BUT! Friday evening we attended the San Francisco Girls Chorus 30th Anniversary Gala, which was a formal event. This is the girls chorus that sang at the presidential inauguration this year. It was fun to get all gussied up (Pete in a tux, June in her "fancy clothes") and hear something so impressive. The dinner was fabulous, the concert was awesome, and the live auction raised over $30000 within an hour. Saturday we dressed to the nines again and went to dinner and a musical. Sunday we had dinner at a friends home and celebrated Junes upcoming 55th b/day, and this evening Jessica is coming for dinner to celebrate her birthday, which is tomorrow while Mary and I fly home.
I'm really looking forward to seeing you all in July. It amazes me that I think about that so often. There's a lot on my mind these days, but I still find that thought popping up quite often. I love you all, and find it such a rich occasion that it's a most appreciated annual event. Tom and Robin...thank you for all you do!
