Several Relatives asked me to post my Civil War hobby schedule for the next few months. As most of you know I belong to the 30th Indiana out of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. When I reenact battles, I portray a Union soldier. If I am hired as an impersonator, I portray Jefferson Davis, the President of the Confederate States of America from 1861-1865. This weekend, August 23-24, I will be at Jackson, Michigan as Davis. I will be speaking at 12:30 both days in the Special Impressions area at the Cascade Park. In the afternoon, there will be a battle reenactment. I will also portray Davis at Angola, Indiana September 27 and 28. On October 11 and 12th I will be at Civil War Days at Hartford City, Indiana in a debate that never happened with Abraham Lincoln as portrayed by my friend Fred Priebe. We also debated in Winchester, Virginia in June as part of the Gathering of Eagles in which major generals of both sides participated. Over July 4th weekend I was with 12,000 re-enactors at the 145th Gettysburg Anniversary Reenactment. It was overwhelming at times.

Man, Dave with that kind of schedule, how do you ever find the time to act like your self?
Hope to see you at one or two of them if I am able.
