UPDATE ON HOWARD

My Doctor said I could not drive on the highway,so Coleen took Pat and I to Tom's and Tom brought us to Tennessee yesterday.
We saw Howard twice yesterday and this morning. He had been sleeping for a couple of days and woke up a short time before we got here. He knew who we were and and was so happy to see us that he just held on to my hand and we both cried. He is able to talk and understands quite a bit. He has some difficulity hearing. He is on dialysis now and will have another scope late this afternoon. If he is able after the days activities I hope to give him a shave. He is still in ICU and sure am glad he is feeling a little better. He just call me on the phone while he is on dialysis, he had the nurse dial the number Tom and I were sitting here and got the good suprise, we had just left the hospital less than 1 hour ago, he sounded better on the phone than when we were talking to him in person.
We all apreciate your prayers and concerns.
Thanks to Tom for taking time out of his busy schedule to come to Tennessee with us. He will be going home soon. We will stay until next weekend. David and Coleen are coming to take us home.

John and Pat,
Thanks for the update on Howard. I have talked to Tom and Coleen on the phone and they have kept me updated on everything. Both of you are in my prayers.

I arrived home this evening from Nashville and my visit with Howard. He was moved to a regular room this morning and is feeling considerably better. I stayed until Howard had his lunch delivered. He was so happy to be able to eat again! I was glad I had the time to stay with Howard long enough to see him improved. He is not out of the woods yet, but at this point is much improved.
