It's sad that we all such bad news to report. But my Mom, (Yvonne Walker, wife of Garfield, son of H.Ray) just had another stroke. It happened when she woke up this morning. She's still in the nursing home, not at the hospital as they do the same treatment as the hospital. The Dr. is not sure if it was a TIA (mini stroke) or a full blown one. So the only way to tell is by watching for a few hours, with no food. If she regains some cognizance in a few hours, then it was probably a TIA. If not, then it was a full stroke and we have to deal with it then. This is her 3rd stroke, and she has had both blood clots and bleeding, so treatment will be difficult. But she has declined so much in the 3 years she's been in the nursing home, I don't think the prognosis is good. I'm sorry that I couldn't call some of you and talk directly to you, but my hands are full. We are still dealing with some other major health issues with Frank and also had my daughter Jinny, in the emergency room last Sunday. She has debilitating migraine headaches.
I'll try to keep you posted as best I can. Anyone can call me anytime if you don't hear from me.

I read your blog to Dad today. We were saddened to hear of Yvonne's setback. We pray that it was a TIA and not a more serious one.
Barb, thanks for the blog to keep us informed. Seems like when it rains, it purs.
I talked to Ed tonight andhe said she was dressed and sitting up today which surely is good sign. He said your Mom couldn't talk yet but did squeeze your hand so you can communicate.
Hope Frank is on he mend and that Jinny gets along fine this weekend.
