another update on me

I would like to first thank everyone who has sent cards and money to me for graduation... i really appreciate it... most of it has gone into a savings account which will be the money for if i get in an accident as my deductable is very high to lower rates...

I also want to thank everyone who came to my graduation party... it was very fun and I will never forget it... although the party and the ceremony were awesome... i did have to leave shortly after it all to come to my new home out here in nebraska... people ask "whats in nebraska besides corn?" and the answer is not much... but i left monday morning and amazingly to everyone i was with... the little 500 dollar wonder i drive made it out here in one piece with pretty decent gas milage... but we stayed at my aunt lisas that night and got to grandma marys on tuesday... i had a good sleep that night... the next day i went to the next town over and set up a bank account and the other fun stuff of moving... i also talked with a lodge about working there... i start friday as a dishwasher...  today i went into battle creek and talked with a restaurant about me being in town if they needed help and they asked if i could start tonight as a waiter and i told them i never waited tables before but they had me start tonight anyway... i filled out an application after i had clocked out at the end of the night... but over all it was a fun experience... only 2 tables DIDNT know who i was... i got alot of "oh your lindas boy arent you?"... apparently grandma has spread the good news about my arrival... so after two days of living here i have two jobs and alot of new friends... if any one would like to get a hold of me my new address is ...
54450 840th rd. Battle Creek, NE 68715
a town of just over a thousand people has given me a warm welcome... i will also be getting a new cell number and i will post that when i get it...

well take care everyone... especially don... i have been reading the updates on him... i hope he gets better soon... sometime this summer i will try to make it to mishawaka and see him and the family around the area providing the funds allow it... i just realized that my english in this is horrible and i cant spell very well...

Alex - Congratulations on your HS graduation, and starting your life after school. It sounds like you are starting out with a lot of support around you. Remember that every day is a new opportunity to learn, whether on the job or in the classroom. And whatever you choose to do, do it to the best of your ability with passion and excellence.

Good luck!

Alex,
I am so glad you are getting off to a wonderful start in a new location. Grandma Mary and Aunt Lisa will be watching out for you and help you any way they can plus your parents are not that far away. You will do fine!

How are you doing out in cornhusker land? We missed you at the reunion but Scott did his best to fill in with Alex-like mischief (water balloons and pool dunkings). Hope your jobs are going well and your classes (have they started yet?). Good luck with everything and hope to see you again one of these days. Robin
