I just wanted everyone to know that this past Saturday, April 5, 2008 I got engaged to Emily Vegh, my girlfriend of 17 months.
The two of us went hiking at Potato Creek State Park. On the trail, I had had my guyfriends plant my keyboard up a hill, marking some trees with red tape. When we got to the red tape, Emily asked, "What's this there for?" I said that we should find out. We went up the hill and there was a huge lump covered with a camoflauge tarp. "What do you think is under there?" she asked innocently. I whipped off the tarp and there was my keyboard. I played and sang her a song I had written for her and then got on one knee and asked the question. She gave a quick and sure, "Yes," and we were engaged!
We're not quite sure when the wedding will be, but we're already talking seriously about it. Here's a picture of the ring:
