I just happened to be a few blocks away and couldn't resist driving by. For those who know who's house this was, the backyard now has an 8' privacy fence around it and a ramp down the front steps. I know Steve, Coleen and Dale will know who lived here. We all have many fond memories of this house. Uncle Howard you know who's house this was. The doctor's house across the street has been torn down and is now a vacant lot along with the next house on the left. I was surprised to see those houses gone. The garage is still standing for this house which is surprising. Steve and Coleen do you remember the house across the street from the Simmons' where we would turn around when leaving here before waving goodbye to the occupants of this house? That house is now For Sale. The pictures don't show Helen Wilkerson's house but it looks the same as it did all those years ago.

It is my Grandmother's and Grandfather's house on Northside Blvd in South Bend, In. It is Ray and Grace's house. My Dad, John, grew up in this house.

Ask your Dad to tell you his memory of a little red wagon, an improper position (same as in a rowboat), and some steps in front of this house. He may have something in his mouth to document it. Tell me if I am wrong.
