Update from New Mexico

We are having spring or summer like weather in New Mexico now. My calender tells me that today is December 5th but I guess the weatherman didn't look at the calender. We were in the mid 70s yesterday and probably were about the same today. I noticed that the projected highs in the local area were all over 70 and some near the 80 mark. On the weekend of Thanksgiving we had snow, wind, and rain. There was snow all around the city but we didn't get any here. El Paso had anywhere from 2 inches to nearly a foot. It depended on where you were in town. So much for the weather in Las Cruces. I saw the pictures of the snow in Chicago and they made realize how nice the weather in Southern New Mexico is.

It is Christmas time and as the song goes "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas". The only thing that looks like Christmas is the mall and the decorations around town. Of course we don't have our shopping done. This is also the season of sending Christmas greetings to family and friends. In my frantic rush to get the cards ready before being out of town on the next two weekends, I discovered that I don't have an address on file for Craig Walker, Dwight Walker, or Ronald Walker. Any help? For any that don't have our mailing address, it is P.O. Box 2623, Las Cruces, NM 88004-2623. Our phone (575) 525-1533.

My mother, Fern Walker, is scheduled to be out in New Mexico for the winter. We will be picking her up at the Albuquerque airport on the 16th. Hope the weather in Ohio is nice so that there aren't any delays at departure time. We have lots planned for the next three months. Linda will be out in March for a week.

Our state quarter is scheduled for release around the end of March or early April.

Hoping that all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Joyous New Year.

Well, I'm from California and your weather sounds normal for Christmas. We will see your Mom the night before she flies to NM. We fly to California the same day.
