I've realized that as the Walker cousins reach new stages in life, there is a bigger need for more frequent communication. What I have decided to do, is try to offer a solution. I've come up with a way for us to have an online bulletin board. This will be a good way for you to either share family information, or to learn something about the concerns of the family. Previously, our family updates have been made by phone and email, but occasionally someone accidentally gets left out of the loop.
Jack, thanks for sharing the picture (as well as the info about Paul). It's hard to keep up with family with we see each other so seldom and live so far apart. Thanks again for the picture.
Yes, Dad taught us all well. For awhile last month, Marleen was in Hong Kong, Bev was in NC, I was in Wyoming and Carol was in Montana. Well, for an instant anyhow as the car crossed the state line. That was the first time we had all been absent from California in years. On Monday, I will be in Ohio, Bev in Virginia, Carol in Calif. and Marleen in Australia. If somebody had told me in the mid 1950s that this would happen, I would have laughed.
Assuming the persons in the picture will see this, I realize I forgot to greet any of them. Hi Bev and Ron. Have a great trip! And Don and Iris, you both look great! Don is an inspiration to all of us to keep going when the going is rough. I'm trying to do that too. I think I understand the loving care that Don has received from Iris because I get the same from Chris. Actually, life is possible only because of our wonderful caregivers. God must have a special place for them.
