Thanks so much Tom & Robin for your hospitality. We really enjoyed the reunion again. I still don't know how you manage to put up with all of us for so long but we very much appreciate your willingness to do so.
Other people added so much to the whole event. The food was fantastic as usual. The waffle bar was a great addition too. I especially appreciated John's service on Sunday morning and the fun time around the campfire Saturday evening. We truly have something special going on with this family. And it gets more special as the years roll on.
It was so great to have John and Howard and Ed all there. We missed you, Mary! We also missed the "California gals" and many others. Hopefully next year there will be more than 15 in the cousins picture.
Joanne was particularly disappointed that they couldn't make it this year. I should have posted her situation long ago since they are having trouble doing anything but reading the blog at this point. So to catch you up in case you didn't hear before... She had been having some tummy troubles for some time. Finally in late July she got pretty sick and went to the doctor. To make a long story short she had gall bladder surgery on August 23. Since it was outpatient surgery the doctor said she could travel in a week. She was all set to come to the reunion. However, an infection of some kind set in, her temp shot up and an antibiotic was prescribed. It is doing the trick but it just took time. She took the last pill last night so is looking forward to feeling much better today since they kinda zapped her each time she took one. She sends her greetings to everyone and is looking forward to seeing everyone next year.
Safe travels to all of you taking off to the West very soon.
Thanks again to everyone who made the weekend so terrific!
