I'm home!

I'm home from Butterworth Hospital. The surgery was 1 1/2 hours longer because the nerve to the vocal cords had grown intertwined in the right side of the thyroid. They had to cut, then look where the nerve went next over and over again. My throat is sore from the tube they inserted. When inserting the tube they "bumped" my upper and lower lips. The result was cuts inside my mouth and two fat lips. Wednesday evening I had a coughing fit which started the incesion bleeding. It was a rough night but the Good Lord was with me and now I'm home!! The best news is that I'll be able to sing again. PTL! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. I enjoyed seeing so many of you at the reunion. Thanks Tom and Robin for putting up with us. It was nice to meet Alden and Kay. They both are a great addition to the "clan".

Judy, I am so glad the surgery went ok and you are home! I really enjoyed our short time together at the reunion. I hope to get up your way sometime when we have another three day weekend or so. I tried to call Wednesday night and couldn't get through. I am so glad you came through it ok.

Judy,
Do you remember that private moment by the fire when we discussed God giving gifts? He IS faithful, eh?
I enjoyed talking/singing with you this trip. Hope it happens again.
