Where is Tom Now

Well, we are in Western Nebraska tonight (Sat.). At least that is when I think it is. After awhile I lose track of time. We will be in Iowa City on Sunday night and I will be home on Monday night. Robin will be in Iowa for about a week.

We drove through Las Vegas and stayed at the Luxor which is the pyramid shaped place. We toured several casinos. We saw lions at the MGM Grand and a recreation of Venice at the Venetian. The area has changed dramaticaly since we were last there many years ago. Prices have climbed a lot!

We arrived in Denver about 4 hours after Marleen flew in to the airport. She was headed to St. Louis, Philly, and Chicago before returning home.

Tonight I received a call from my friend from high school in Elk Grove. This morning his mother died. Our parents will all be together at the cemetery at Pt. Pleasant only a few feet apart from each other. Who would have guessed. Unfortunately, I left California about a week too early to attend services. But it is time for Robin to be with her family and time is not our friend right now.

My sisters and I are all still recovering but we are doing fine, each in their own way. We are all thankful for our wonderful extended family. We are looking forward to the campout. Robin was shocked to find out how close the time was. We are also thankful for Kay who is holding down the fort for us. I don't know what we would have done this summer without Kay.
