Europe

OK, so here we are in Europe.  This week we are in Switzerland near Zurich at a B&B.  Next week we will be south of Munich at a condo.  So I wrote to cousin Paul to ask where we should visit and he gave us several choices.  One was to go to Interlochen and the other was to go to a Baroque library in St. Gallen.  Well, we figured if the library was broke, and in a foreign language, there was no point in visiting it.  So we picked Interlochen.  I can still hear Iris talking about how beautiful it is.  Well, we were not disappointed!!  The temperature today was a high of 70 and we had a gorgeous drive.  You see, the trees are turning and we got ourselves on a curvy mountain road with wonderful vistas of the surrounding area in the alps.  The alps don't look like mountains in the US.

Cousin Elaine arrives in the morning.  She will be amazed by our surroundings.  If we listen closely we can hear the cow bells ring.  We plan to see Zurich on Wed and then the black forest on Thursday.  And we are being served raclette on Thursday evening.

We have an Opel Insignia with a diesel engine and a 6 speed manual transmission.  We tried not to get passed and at one point we hit about 180 on the autobahn.  We have a condo south of Munich next week followed by a cruise to Greece and Turkey the following week.  Due to a price decrease, we got an upgrade to a balcony cabin and we have a 100 cabin credit.

Princess and Kay are doing fine back at the house holding down the fort.

So, how is that for spicing up the blog??
