Just Something To Think about ....

When it's cold and snowy I enjoy looking through old photos and posting them to the blog. Here are a few I'd like to see some chatter about. Maybe we can all learn something. As always click on the photo to make it bigger

The bottom picture looks like Uncle Don. I am not sure who is all in the group picture.
I think that could be my dad in the young boy picture.
The top picture looks like Uncle Garfield to me.
How close did I get to being right?

Of course the very bottom picture is Don, then above that was John Ray Walker, then a group image has Garfield in front and Dwight behind him. I saw Donnabelle and probably H. Ray or Carl in that picture too. The top one had H. Ray and Grace and the couple looked liked Uncle Jacob who was a younger brother of Mary Idessia and his wife. That is just an educated guess.

Out of all the pictures, The only person you choose that is still alive is me.
I feel honored.
This pictured was taken when I was 8 years old. WW II had just started less than 6 months. See my post on Historical Documents about other things that happened when I was 8 years old.

The top picture is Garfield and the old car is probably my Dad's old Studebaker.

I really don't know who the couple is standing together. I was hoping someone here would know. Since these photos came from Grace there is an outside chance it's from her side of the family. I thought maybe it was Mary Alice Walker and ?.

The couple look like Charlie Rider and his wife after looking close and enlarging it. They were close friends of my folks and went to the church. She was a Sunday school teacher and he was Sunday school superintendent for years. Charlie went in to the Service for WW I with my Dad. Maybe your mother can shed more light on it.
