California Trip

Robin & I have returned from our Christmas / New Years trip to California. We had a mini reunion with Terry Wisler and his wife in Hemet, California. He is doing well and continues with his business of doing Mobile home repairs. Carol found 8 mobile home parks in Hemet, but Terry told us there were more like 50. He has an excellent reputation with his business and doesn't advertise. We talked about our fond memories of the farm where he grew up.

We also had a mini reunion with Elaine. She came up to visit us at our condo in Capistrano Beach. On our last evening together, we sort of had Alden join us with Ice Cream! We will see Elaine again in April for a cruise through the Panama Canal.

We had the Robert Walker Christmas in Fresno at Beverly's home. It was wonderful as usual. Our meal theme this year was "Air Port Codes" which featured the likes of Swedish Meatballs (ARN) ala Tom. We got meatballs from IKEA and the sauce we brought back from Norway.
Carol, Bill, Tom & Robin attened the Rose Parade this year. Also along at the parade right behind us were Cindy, Mae, Jeff and Jeff's mother. After the parade, we visited the floats. The next day we visited some of our former homes. Where the Quonset was in Hollywood, is now a flea market. The 2 places we lived in Burbank were just up the street from IKEA, but our buildings were all gone, including the "Old Peoples Home" where our trailer was parked. We had 5 days at a condo at Capistrano Beach later in the week. The weather was about 70 each day.

Glad you had fun. Thanks for the ice cream. Good thing you put it in a sealed container because we had to freeze it all over again. Seems it stopped in New Mexico on the way here. The mail man said they enjoyed some of it at the post office too. I was kind of curious as to why the container was half full.

Alden looks so young in that picture. I didn't realize that he was a celebrity.

I hope I get some of the ice cream before it is eaten or melts. Tom and Robin, welcome back.
