Justin is out of surgery and has a very good report!

Once they got in there, they found that the 3rd disc had not completely ruptured, but was bulging. The Dr. was able to repair the other 2 of the 3 vertebrae and feels very confident that with the 2 ruptured discs repaired, the other bulging disc will now be able to heal. There will be physical therapy 2-3 times per week for at least 6 weeks, and he's already been fitted with a pneumatic lumbar belt. He will follow up with Drs. at home, and those Drs will stay in contact with the California surgeon, who will also be talking with Justin on the phone at regular intervals.

I'm sure he's feeling pretty whipped tonight having been sedated two days in a row with not much to eat because of the procedures, but it's uphill from here!

Again I say THANK YOU..... for the gifts that will help with the medical bills. So far, about half of the cost of the surgery has been promised and some of it is starting to arrive. We did some serious borrowing from Peter to pay Paul, so we appreciate every generous heart that has made a sacrifice on our behalf. None of the future therapy is covered, and the pre-surgery therapy is still waiting to be paid. However, when God intervenes there's no such thing as "can't"! It's crazy, but our son has a new lease on life with a healthier body because of what God has done through all of you.
