From Bob Drake

Bob & Bobbie recently returned from a visit to NM, so ask them to tell you about green chili and "Christmas on the side". There were 5 cousins in NM last week including Alden. Bob asked me to post this for him.

TOM I CAN'T GET INTO THE BLOG AGAIN WOULD YOU PLEASE POST THIS NOTE.

I AM GOING INTO THE HOSPITAL TODAY TO GET SOME SCAR TISSUE REMOVED FROM THE RETINA OF MY LEFT EYE. IT'S CALLED EPIRETIAL MEMBBRANE WHICH CAUSES A MACULAR PUCKER.. THE DOCTOR SAYS IT TAKES ABOUT ONE HOUR. I SHOULD BE HOME THIS AFTERNOON. I HOPE TO "SEE" ALL OF YOU LATER.

Bob went to the ophthalmologist on Friday and he did several tests and said Bob should see a retina specialist. Bob asked him if it could wait till we got back from Florida and the doctor said no. They got an appointment with the specialist on Monday and he had the surgery this morning. Luckily the doctor had an opening this morning.

We got home from the hospital about noon today. The surgery was very successful. There was scar tissue on the retina which the doctor removed. He has to go back to the doctor tomorrow to have the eye patch removed, then he will only have to wear it at night for a week.

Would you please put this on the blog.

From Bobbie.

Bob,

I'm happy your surgery was successful! I look forward to you seeing more of New Mexico next time out. I had a blast having y'all here.
