Robin had her left knee replaced on Tuesday and spent until Friday in the hospital. She is now at a rehab hospital where she can get physical therapy. We expect her to be there for a week or longer. The original plan was for her to come home from the hospital on Friday, but her tolerance for the pain meds made it hard to get the physical therapy she needed. We were concerned in part that if she fell, she could take me with her. We expect her to be in rehab for a week or so, depending on how she improves. She has not eaten for 4 days.
Jack, let us know how your Mother is doing.

Tom, Glad everything is working out for Robin. It takes awhile to heal.
Talked to Aunt Iris this morning and she seems to be holding her own. Think she is praising pain meds at this time.......
Robin is doing a lot better. The trick was to get her off the narcotics that were making her sick. She is eating and is feeling civil. Physical Therapy starts in ernest on Monday, so let us hope she does OK with that. She is at Hill Spring in Springboro. Today we took in The Princess to see her. Robin has her cell phone and has called some of you.
my line must have been busy......Did not get the call
Hope her rehab goes well. Make sure she takes some pain meds before she goes to rehab...Doris
Yes, she has found a pain med that works for her! Therapy is working but she gets very tired. She enjoys the cards.
I get over once or twice a day and we have taken Princess over to visit her also.
My car, however, has come down with a strange problem. At a certain point in Springboro, it tries to turn either right or left depending on which direction I'm traveling. It is always at the same point on the main road. Perhaps Alex can diagnose it again for me.
Alden has forgotten his password and couldn't comment. However, he suggested that Alex and I discuss the problem with the car over a milkshake.
Thinking of you, Robin, as you recover. Hope all is progressing well. Once you have less pain than when you went in you'll know it was all worth it. Hope you're close.
