This is the cousins picture (courtesy of Joanne) on Monday at Don's funeral. There were 18 of us there that morning and a total of 19 if we include Nancy who was at the Sunday visitation but could not make it to the funeral. This represents 19 of the 34 cousins who are grandchildren of Raleigh & Idessia Walker. There are 27 of the 34 who are still living. The 8 who could not make it were in Florida, California and New Mexico.
David A told Marleen that he thought that his dad (Herb) and our dad (Robert) would be waiting at heaven's gates for Uncle Don .... and they would be aruguing over which one would get to welcome him first. But my image is of the beautiful song that Jack sang. Could you post the words Jack? And perhaps you have an mp3 file you could post? I would love to hear you sing at the campout.
When we were at Raleigh's funeral, Don was next to me and he said: "Am I going to have to watch all of my siblings die" Well, Don, the answer was yes. You were there to help each one of us through that time. Yes, God did have a purpose Don. Thank you so much for being there for us.
