Spring in California

Thought I'd post a picture of my granddaughter, Mae, getting her pygmy goat, Milly, ready to go to the Sacramento County Fair in May. Mae is in kindergarten so this is her first year in 4-H. She is learning that taking care of goats is a lot of hard work. She has three - Milly, Billy, and Dilly. And, yes, she named them herself. The hardest thing for Mae is remembering that when she is taking one of her goats for a walk that she can't let go of the rope.
Bill and I are enjoying our beautiful spring weather here this week. My sister, Marleen, had foot surgery last week but is doing very well. She is already tired of sitting with her foot up all the time.

Mae, Please don't let the goats find any dyamite because according to Barney Fife you should not let goats just eat anything. Hopefully Marleen's foot will be okay for the Walker Reunion in July. We are suppose to do another Tri-atlan.
