Our beloved cousin Dwight Walker passed away this morning. It is not clear exactly what happened, but he had a kidney stone, a double urinary tract infection plus he has been on insulin for years. He was on an IV for the infection.
I just heard from Elaine this morning and as you might imagine, she is very distraught and has asked us to come down. We are in Capistrano Beach, California about 70 miles from San Diego. We will let you know as more information is available.
Just last Monday we visited with Dwight and heard again about his trips. Last night I finished a video for him of his trip west in 1952. We will miss you Dwight.

Ellen is flying out to San Diego on Tuesday afternoon. We expect to head back to our condo in Capistrano when she arrives. They are making plans now for services. There are no plans for services in San Diego. There is a high probability of events in Mishawaka on Sunday/Monday. I will try to keep you all posted as specific plans are made.

We are awaiting word from San Diego that everything is clear to ship Dwight back to Indiana. Some of you may recall that Norma Jean was late to her own funeral. Elaine is doing everything she can to avoid that problem this time. The down side is that it becomes harder to set a definate time for services. Right now Monday/Tuesday looks more likely. Stay tuned for updates. Ellen is due in this evening and we expect to go out to dinner upon her arrival.
Ellen, Elaine and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss at such an unexpected time.
