Thought you might like to see how Dad spends his days at Monte Vista. These were taken last Saturday at a western barbecue the staff put on. They have a nice auditorium where the wall behind the stage opens up to the outside, so they have seating under tents outside as well as in the main auditorium. Usually, if the function begins at 11:00, you need to get there by 10:00 to get a seat!
It's kind of hard to see the gun I'm holding on Dad, hence the "frightened" look he has in one of the pictures. The gal in the closeup is one of the activity directors. They have special activities several times a year. We went to the annual Hawaiian Luau in August.

Golly, we missed the Luau! Oh, well, we missed one in Hawaii also. We are coming once again to visit you Dwight! We will be there the first of January. Maybe we would be so lucky as to be there for one of your special parties. We are going to be there a little longer this time.
For those who don't know, last year we toured around San Diego on the tourmobile that goes all over San Diego. We got on one of the units that had a wheel chair lift.
