This is picture of Tom & Robin's Anniversary Dinner. Actually, today is the real day, but you can see that we celebrated in fine style on Saturday evening. Elaine suggested the outing at the Brazilian Steak House in downtown Vancouver. Alden introduced me to Brazilian steak houses a few years ago in Santa Fe. Please note the happy smile on Robin's face! We were served beef, buffalo, pork, chicken, etc. at the table and also had an extended salad bar. I think Elaine knew about the dancers! I knew nothing!! As everyone can see, I was clueless and was very focused on dinner.
We were without power for 1 week at home. Kay was a trooper! We lost everything in the fridge and freezer and some trees and limbs, but otherwise we did fine. Although we didn't like leaving Kay alone, it was a great time to be gone. A special thank you goes out to Jim & Linda Breese who went down last Thursday to help Kay out. It was very much appreciated by Kay and us. They were able to clear out some trees and limbs from the storm. The basement did not flood as we did not get rain.
We have 2 days in Vancouver left and then we are off on our cruise to Hawaii on Carnival. We have a friend in Maui we are looking forward to visiting.

Tom, you beat me to it in posting this photo. I had planned to blackmail you with it!
Actually, the Brazilian Steakhouse was Tom's idea. I just reminded him of it when he wanted leftover pasta for dinner!
Robin whispered in my ear as we were walking to our table, "Notice how he didn't mention the price!" Our table was right next to the side of the stage, so we had front row seats! Wonder if he slipped the hostess a tip to get the good table!
The food was good and the presentation something I hadn't experienced before. It was an all you can eat buffet for everything but the meat. They brought large skewers of the different meats around to your table and sliced off what you wanted. They gave each of us tongs to grab the meat as it came off the skewer. We each had a square cardboard "chip".
If the green side was up, they continued to bring the meats. You turned it over to the red side when you were full.
All in all, a good trip. Wish I could have stayed longer and went on to Hawaii although, based on the weather, I think I left at a good time. It rained on Sat. and the forecast was for more of the same for the next several days. Nice and sunny here at home.
Tom and Robin, happy anniversary! Looks like you celebrated in style. We hope you enjoy your Hawaiian cruise. We'll look forward to more pictures.
Howard will probably be coming home soon and would enjoy seeing the pictures.

Glad you are having a nice time Tom and Robin. Happy anniversary.
We are off to Hawaii Wed. morning. We are hoping for smooth sailing or this could be our last cruise. We are stocking up on snack foods so we don't get hungry on the ship. Watch the weather for the next week in the Pacific Ocean and you will know how we are doing. We will check in from Kauai.
Happy Anniversary to you both. Looks like a lot of fun............I doubt you will go hungry on the cruise ship but then I thought you the idea of going on a cruise was to go hungry,.....lol
