Its been awhile since I've posted on here but now is the time. While attending Aunt Yvonne's funeral and dinner, I did some talking to my sister, Coleen and my oldest cousin, Barb. Barb and I decided that it has been awhile since the grandchildren of H.Ray and Grace Walker have gotten together. I have seen some of us at different events and things but not all of us all together like it used to be, drinking lemonade on Grandma and Grandpa's front porch and eating sandwiches on tv trays in the living room with the bright red carpet.
Barb, the oldest cousin, and I, the youngest cousin, thought it would be nice if we all got together for a day or perhaps camping over a weekend. This momentous occasion should occur next summer so that we have time to plan and make reservations if needed. So who all is invited? That remains a pretty open question. Basically we would like to have all 0f the cousins there and their families and the Aunt's and Uncle's too would be nice. So the list starts in no particular order: Barb, Dale, June, Bruce, Nancy, Judy, Greg, Brian, Karen, Deb, Steve, Coleen and David
I would also ask that Barb bring a photo or two of Susie, who passed away several years ago. The location is still up in the air as well as the date. So if anybody has any suggestions or times when they are not available just post on here or email me at theshadowreturns@yahoo.com. I'm currently looking into a state park as a possible location. You can also follow up with Barb, she is the co-conspirator.
I hope to hear back from everybody.

So, is what you are saying is that it's a H Ray Family reunion and not just a cousins get together?

I'd like to see you keep your sister and parents from Tom's on the 4th. Good luck with that.
it started with a cousins reunion but why not invite everybody? We could always crash Tom's party but the idea was to get together with just us.
Dave, don't get me wrong I think a cousins thing would be great. Maybe in the late fall after the the other Walker reunions.

Anyway... You plan it and they will come. It would be nice to see the TN cousins again. I'm all for it!

Isn't Deb planning an Alaska cruise next summer? hummmmm,,,,,,,,,,, sounds like a reunion possibility to me.
Alex, if you really want to know where the email address came from, I'll tell you. Just ask.
I think a late in the fall or around November 16 in honor of Grandma's birthday would be a great day.
I also like the thought of the cruise, but I think that will be cost prohibitive for me (at least this year anyway.)
I Think Coleen has a good idea. As many of us that could gather for Mom's birthday were always there for her birthday. November 16th If the weather is ok perhaps we could all gather at a resturant in Mishawaka or South Bend to eat.
Before or afterwords we could visit her grave. I also have a lot of stuff from her 100th birthday party that would be nice to review.
